POLICIES
ADULT ADMISSION POLICY
The Children’s Museum of Virginia is designed for young children and their families, but we know that big kids like to play as well. Out of courtesy to our visiting families and to maintain a high standard of safety for our groups and general visitors, the Children’s Museum of Virginia asks all unaccompanied adults to leave a driver’s license or government-issued photo ID at the admission desk while exploring the museum.
CHILD SUPERVISION
Children must be supervised at all times. You must be 18 years or older to accompany a child into the museum. Parents/ Caregivers are responsible for their children’s behavior.
OUTSIDE FOOD & DRINKS
Food and/or drinks are not permitted in the Museum.
PHOTOGRAPHY POLICY
Non-flash photography is permitted for personal use, except where noted. Flash photography, video equipment, and tripods are not permitted by visitors. Photography must not be disruptive to other visitors or block exhibits and hallways. Please feel free to share your photos using #ChildrensMuseumVA. At times, photographers and staff may be at work documenting museum activities. Your presence implies your consent to the Museum to use your likeness in educational and promotional use.

Convenient parking is located close by at the County Street Parking Garage, which is located directly behind the museum. Parking is $1 per hour Monday through Friday and free on weekends and holidays.
