celebrating the lives of the African American musicians who gave modern
Popular music its distinctive beats and rhythms. Performance includes unusual
instruments from the history of American music and is suitable for all ages.
Curtis Blues is a teaching artist who specializes in the multicultural roots of
American music. He was voted Solo Blues Artist of the Year for the DC metro
area.
