Planetarium shows are offered every day, and they are included with your museum admission. The Beazley Planetarium transports you to distant worlds in our immersive theater with digital full-dome projection. Explore the wonders of the universe or find inspiration in our starry skies. Get more information about the Beazley Planetarium >>

S.T.E.M Studio hosts activities that are hands-on-and appropriate for the entire family to do together.  A different activated related to S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) concept is offered each week.  S.T.E.M. Studio is open for timed sessions at 9:45 and 10:45 am and 1:45 pm & 2:45 pm Wednesday-Sunday.  Activities are included with museum admission but space is limited.

Organized homeschool groups and co-ops of 15 persons or more are eligible for a discounted group rate with advance registration. Groups may just choose a 2-hour self-guided visit for $7 per student, or they can add an educational program or a planetarium program for just $1 more. Beazley Planetarium programs can also be reserved as a planetarium only visit for $4 per student.

Scavenger hunts and educational resources are available for your use to compliment your visit to the Children’s Museum of Virginia.
