Little Artists (6 Weeks)

Ages 3-5

Is your child ready for an introduction to art? Tiny artists can let their imaginations run wild in this preschool-friendly arts and crafts class. This is a great way to evolve motor skills through cutting, gluing, painting, drawing and much more. Each week a new artist/technique will be introduced through guided arts and crafts project increasing visual literacy for your child. Bring your creative wee one and leave the mess with us. Children can be dropped off and picked up at the end of the hour.

Location: Portsmouth Art and Cultural Center-Annex
Dates: March 22 –April 26, 2017 (Wednesdays)
Time: 10am-11am

Emerging Artists (8 Weeks)

Ages 7-12

Experience a wide range of art projects that will take you on a journey around the world!  Students create works of art by exploring the use of animals as subject matter in art found in various worldwide cultures.  These multi-cultural projects include a variety of techniques such as weaving, painting, sculpting, embossing, marbling and more.

Location: Portsmouth Art and Cultural Center Annex
Dates: March 16- May 4, 2017 (Thursdays)
Time: 1:00-3:00pm
Registration Periods: Through March 9, 2017
Tuition: $65/Student (members), $70/Student (non-members)


Smorgasbord Saturdays

Dress for a mess as we explore science and art in this one-hour session. Be prepared for fizz or paint, slime or clay – a new surprise for each class. Classes are held the third Saturday of the month.

Location: The Children’s Museum of Virginia
Dates: Saturdays, February 18th, March 18th, April 15th, and May 20th, from 9:30 – 10:30 AM
Registration Period: Open Now until two (2) weeks before the Class date.
Tuition: Free/ Members, $7/Non-Members
